Who can apply for the IITM BS in Management & Data Science?
The eligibility is deliberately open. You can apply if you have:
- Passed Class 12 (or an equivalent qualification), from any stream — science, commerce or arts;
- Studied Mathematics and English in Class 10.
There is no upper age limit — school students, college students, working professionals and career-changers are all welcome. You do not need a coding background, and you do not need a JEE rank for the regular route. This is one of the biggest reasons the BS in Management & Data Science has become so popular.
Class 12 students & school leavers
Students currently in Class 12 (and those who have finished Class 11 final exams) can apply and go through the qualifier phase. However, you cannot register for the Foundation level until you have cleared Class 12 (or equivalent). In practice this means an ambitious school student can prepare and qualify early, then enrol as soon as their board results are out.
