Craft Instructor Eligibility: Educational Qualification
As per Annexure 3 of the corrigendum:
As per the government notification dated 10 August 2026: (1) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC), or (2) National Trade Certificate (NTC) plus the Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) certificate, or (3) a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
MPSC Craft Instructor Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
For Craft Instructor, age is calculated as on 27 November 2026 (as per recruitment rules, last date of applications).
For the cadres included in the original advertisement, the maximum age is 38 years for the open category and 43 years for backward/reserved categories, with other relaxations as per rules. Cadres added later follow the age limits in their recruitment rules. In addition, the General Administration Department GR dated 5 November 2026 gives a one-year relaxation in the maximum age limit for this exam. Always confirm your exact limit in the official advertisement.
Craft Instructor Salary
The pay scale is as per the Maharashtra Seventh Pay Commission matrix for this cadre, given in the official advertisement and recruitment rules. Allowances such as DA and HRA are paid as per state rules.

- Marathi: grammar (sandhi, samas, prayog, vibhakti, alankar), vocabulary, idioms and proverbs, sentence correction, comprehension.
- English: grammar, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, sentence improvement, comprehension.
- General Knowledge: current events (national and international), history of modern India with special reference to Maharashtra, geography of Maharashtra and India, Indian polity and Panchayat Raj, economics (national income, banking, planning, government economic policy), general science (physics, chemistry, biology, health and hygiene).

As per the original advertisement, the prelims fee is ₹394 for the open category and ₹294 for backward/reserved categories (₹44 for ex-servicemen). Payment is accepted only online: debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. Challan payment is no longer available. Candidates who already applied do not pay again to select new cadres.
