- IIT Madras is the organizing institute — the 45th year of GATE.

Who Is Eligible for GATE DA 2027?
Any candidate in the 3rd year or higher of an undergraduate degree, or who has completed a government-approved degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, Commerce, Arts or Humanities, can apply. There is no age limit and no attempt limit. Students from BSc, BCA, BCom and BA backgrounds can also appear — one reason DA has become one of the most popular new GATE papers.
